June 3, 2011 -- The signing was done in Port Vila between the Prime Minister of Vanuatu - Sato Kilman and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia Professor Sergei Shamba.

Kilman has welcomed the relationship between the two countries and acknowledged the efforts of the Government and the people of Abkhazia in their strive for recognition of their national identity and independence.

The Prime Minster of Vanuatu encouraged dialogue and peaceful resolution of territorial disputes between Georgia and Abkhazia.

Customary movements of John Frum and Nagriamel have also issued a statement of recognition to the people of Abkhazia.
