|People's Movements Nagriamel and John Frum (Vanuatu) issue recognition to the people of Abkhazia|

Paramount Chief Te Moli Venaos said: “It is a historic moment for our Peoples to recognise eachother; this is a first step to commencement of cultual exchanges and friendly relations, my people are eager to learn more about Abkhazian culture, especially customary traditions of the the people of Abkhazia, our movements stand to respect and recognise customary traditions, peace within people and their right to land. Nagriamel was the first customary movement in 1972-1973 to be recognised by the United Nations; Nagriamel represented the interests of Ni-Vanuatu people in the then New Hebrides, the leaders of Nagriamel were at the foundation and signatories to the the Vanuatu Constitution.
Nagriamel and John Frum Movements call for peaceful dialogue in resolving the territorial dispute which must restore the peace and harmony in the region.”
