Abkhazia Expands Cultural Presence Abroad with Seoul Centre Opening.
SEOUL — The Abkhaz–Korean Cultural Centre has officially opened in the South Korean capital, Seoul, marking a new chapter in cultural cooperation between Abkhazia and the Republic of Korea.
The opening ceremony took place at the National Assembly building of South Korea and was attended by a delegation from Abkhazia, including the Minister of Culture, Daur Kove. Also present were members of the National Assembly, artists, business leaders and representatives of the local media.

In his address, South Korean MP Ahn Ho-young congratulated those gathered on the launch of the centre and underlined the importance of fostering cultural and economic ties between the two countries. “I believe that this centre will become a platform for active engagement,” he said.
Minister Kove emphasised that the centre’s main goal is to deepen cultural cooperation, create opportunities for the exchange of expertise and support creative and humanitarian initiatives. “This step opens up new prospects for expanding joint projects and productive dialogue in the humanitarian sphere, helping to strengthen friendship and mutual understanding between our peoples,” he noted.

The centre plans to host exhibitions, concerts and other events to introduce South Korean audiences to Abkhazia’s cultural heritage and to encourage joint projects between the two nations.
