Gunba sends condolences to Venezuela's acting president over earthquake

SUKHUM / AQW'A —  The President of Abkhazia, Badra Gunba, has sent a telegram of condolence to the acting President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Eloína Rodríguez Gómez, over the tragic consequences of the earthquake. The announcement was made by the press service of the head of state.

In the message, Gunba wrote: "Esteemed Madam Delcy Rodríguez. On behalf of the people of the Republic of Abkhazia and on my own behalf, I express my deep condolences over the tragic consequences of the devastating earthquake that has struck Venezuela. With profound sorrow we share the pain of the Venezuelan people. I ask you to convey words of sincere sympathy to the families of the victims, and to the injured my wishes for a swift recovery. In these difficult days the people of Abkhazia express their solidarity with the people of Venezuela."

He went on to wish the Venezuelan people courage and fortitude, and a swift recovery from the consequences of the tragedy.
