Abkhazian Horses Triumph at Krasnodar Racetrack Opening

KRASDONAR ―  At the Krasnodar racetrack season opener, Abkhazian horses stole the show, clinching the top two spots in a fiercely competitive field. The delegation from Abkhazia, led by the sports advisor to the President, Akhra Ashuba, celebrated as Adgur Pachaliya's Apsny Gold and Ashuba's own Dzhalil Grant dominated the races.

Dzhalil Grant captured second place in a commemorative race honouring the victims of the Patriotic War of Abkhazia (Georgian-Abkhazian war of 1992-93 -ed). This significant event, patronised by President Aslan Bzhania, featured a prize of 200,000 rubles ($2,150) and drew 12 skilled riders

The races drew an extensive delegation from Abkhazia, including governmental and parliamentary officials, war veterans, and volunteers. The event also saw participation from representatives of various public organisations from Ossetia, Adygea, the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, and the Union of Cossacks, who were invited by Ashuba.

The Krasnodar racetrack will host a total of 14 race days from April through October this season, showcasing elite Thoroughbred, Arabian, and Akhal-Teke horses, marking a high point in the region’s sporting calendar.
