Indicators of 2014 for the export of citrus fruits exceed the last year's
The State Customs Committee of the Republic of Abkhazia informed on the implementation of the targets on tax payments for 2014.
Despite the decline in trade of the Republic of Abkhazia in the first quarter of 2014, caused by the introduction of a special regime of passage of goods and vehicles on the Abkhaz-Russian border during the XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games of 2014 in Sochi, on 12.22.2014, the customs authorities of the Republic of Abkhazia has been credited 775.77 million rub, which amounted to 101% of the targets.
Also, the State Customs Committee of Abkhazia reports that on 12.23.2014, the Republic of Abkhazia exported 29,150 tons of citrus fruit, which is 1,358 tons more than last year.
"The numbers are good! After all, we compare the figures with last year's situation when, in December, people tried to take out the entire crop before the introduction of a special regime passes, associated with the Olympics in Sochi. With this in mind, the indicators in 2014 for the export of citrus significantly higher, than last year. Now the situation is calm, the checkpoint is operating normally", - commented the Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Abkhazia Ushangi Kvitsinia.
