MAYKOP / ADYGHEA  ― The ancient Circassians (Adyghes) always lived in harmony with nature, and many of their traditions and holidays are connected to it. One of the most important celebrations is the New Year, which has roots in paganism.

NALCHIK — On March 11th, on the eve of the Day of the Adyghe (Circassian) language, KBSU (Kabardino-Balkaria State University) was one of three venues in Nalchik to host the International Educational Action in the Kabardian language, known as "Adyghe Dictation."

According to reports from authorities and law enforcement agencies, the war in Ukraine has claimed the lives of at least 1,500 individuals from the North Caucasus Federal District and the Southern Federal District.
