At the present time, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, Maxim Gvindzhia, is on a working visit to Switzerland. Today in Berne he paid a visit to the Federal Assembly (Parliament), where he met deputies Oskar Freysinger, Christophe Mörgeli, Felix Müri and Evet Estermann.
"We discussed the prospects of possible co-operation between Switzerland and Abkhazia. The deputies gave a warm welcome to the initiative to develop relations between the countries, in particular to questions relating to the preservation of political and economic identity "- the Minister of Foreign Affairs told ApsnyPress by telephone from Berne.
Maxim Gvindzhia also met with representatives of the tourism industry. "We discussed a range of issues, including possible investments in ski-resorts in Abkhazia", said Gvindzhia. He said that in days a Swiss-Abkhazian Chamber of Commerce will open in Zürich.
