Gastronomic Festival "Taste of Abkhazia" Kicks Off in Sukhum
The festival is being hosted at "Guma," located in the heart of Abkhazia's capital.
SUKHUM / AQW'A — The IV International Tourism Forum, "VISIT APSNY," is set to take place from 15 to 18 October at the cultural and business venue "Guma" and the conference hall of the Atrium Victoria Hotel.
The "Taste of Abkhazia" gastronomic festival began in Sukhum as part of the IV tourism forum "VISIT APSNY" on Sunday, 15 October.
The festival is being hosted at "Guma," located in the heart of Abkhazia's capital.
"We have been hosting the fourth iteration of the 'VISIT APSNY' forum since 13 October. From the 13th to the 15th of October, we offered a promotional tour for those interested in exploring the major sights and landmarks of Abkhazia. Today, we are introducing this signature event at 'Guma', the gastronomic festival 'Taste of Abkhazia', which we plan to hold annually," remarked Anna Kalyagina, the president of the Abkhazian Union of Tourism and the organiser of the "VISIT APSNY" forum.
Sunday's program boasts a local producers' product fair, a concert, an interactive and informative game titled "Features of National Cuisine", a master class on making adzhinzhihua and a dessert using Abkhazian persimmon, a tea ceremony, and a dialogue with a winemaker. Additionally, at 19:30, attendees can enjoy a screening of the film "Taste of Life" in the summer cinema zone.
The IV International Tourism Forum "VISIT APSNY" will run until 18 October. Its schedule encompasses plenary discussions, expert sessions, round table discussions on a range of topics, master classes, and exhibitions.
