Love story: "Lovelace" at the Abkhaz Drama Theater
SUKHUM / AQW'A ― The Abkhaz Drama Theater hosted a press screening of the play 'Lovelace', which is based on Valery Simanovsky's adaptation of Dostoevsky's novel 'Poor People'.
Lovelace is the love story of Makar Devushkin and Varenka Dobroselova. The role of the protagonist is played by the Honored Artist of Abkhazia Teimuraz Chamagua, and the main character is the visiting actress Amra Nachkebia.

The production uses an original director's concept, which allows the audience to be in the very center of events and watch the performance not from the auditorium, but from the stage.
The premiere of 'Lovelace' based on Fyodor Dostoevsky's novel 'Poor People' will be held on February 15 and 16 at 19:00.
"Lovelace is the love story of Makar Devushkin and Varenka Dobroselova. Makar is already at a respectable age, but falls in love with young Varenka and begins to court her. But his efforts do not bring the desired result - Varenka marries someone else. Unable to withstand such a turn of events, Makar becomes disillusioned with life.
The director of the performance is the Honored Worker of Culture of Abkhazia and the Honored Artist of Russia Adgur Kove.
The audience is in the very center of events, seated on the stage, and everything that happens revolves around them.
Rozita Tania and the young actors Alyas Kolbaya and Leon Kur-Ogly also take part in the production. He also acts as a production designer.
The premiere of the play 'Lovelace' will take place at the Abkhaz Drama Theater on February 15 and 16 at 19:00.
