SUKHUM / AQW'A ― The Abkhazia men's basketball championship for the 2022/2023 season concluded, with Gudauta securing the title. The competition, which kicked off on November 13, featured two rounds and 14 stages across various cities in Abkhazia. Eight teams participated in the championship, competing in a total of 56 matches.
SUKHUM / AQW'A -- Sukhum "Nart" emerged victorious in the Super Cup of Abkhazia, beating Gudauta "Ritsa" 3-2 in a thrilling encounter at the Dinamo stadium in the capital city.
SUKHUM / AQW'A -- A racing driver from Gudauta, Dmitry Gvazava, has adorned his new racing helmet with symbols dedicated to Abkhazia and to the memory of a dear friend. The helmet features the flag of Abkhazia and a tribute to his hometown.
SUKHUM / AQW'A -- In Sukhum, a football-match between Abkhazia and Adyghea was held. Before the game, the honoured coach of Adyghea, who had worked for many years as a coach and head of the Maikop team Druzhba (‘Friendship’), Nurbij Tatarov, greeted the participants of the match and football-fans.
From 3 to 6 November, the final stage of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe Championship was held in Portugal, in which an athlete from Abkhazia, Dmitri Gvazava, competed in the Pro-Am category for the ‘Target Racing’ team. His crew-mate was French pilot Milan Petele. Gvazava and Petele took third place in their class, the Press-service of the State Committee for Youth Affairs and Sports reports.
Dmitri Gvazava is a two-time winner of the Mitjet Russian Cup, multiple winner of the Moscow Indoor Karting Cup races, silver medalist of the Krasnodar Territory Mitjet 2L, participant in the Mitjet 2016 FORMULA 1 RUSSIAN GRAND PRIX support-race, and winner of the Six-hour Le Mans race as part of the French Speed Car team".
In 2021, Dmitri, along with his partner Andrea Cola, won three Lamborghini Super Trofeo races in their Pro-Am class, and on four more occasions they have been prize-winners.

The series involves exclusively Huracán Super Trofeo Evo model cars in 3 continental series: Europe, Asia, and North America. The three continental series all have a common format: 6 double races, each 50 minutes long, on the world’s most prestigious circuits, completed by a World Final that decrees the Lamborghini world champions.
The GMC German Champion in mixed martial arts Koray Cengiz (Atsugba) won the MMA World Mix Fight championship, which took place on June 17 in Turkey, reports the State Committee for Sports of Abkhazia.
