State Orchestra of Folk Instruments performed at Abkhaz State Philharmonic

SUKHUM / AQW'A ― On Wednesday, March 22, the State Orchestra of Folk Instruments, named after Otar Khuntsaria, held a concert at the Abkhaz State Philharmonic, named after Razhden Gumba.

The program for the evening included dance melodies, folk and popular songs, such as "Shish-nani", "Potpourri of the Abkhazian songs", "Izyuryzei", and dance compositions like "Islamey", "Dance", "Nartaa", "Sharatyn" and more.

The orchestra is composed of graduates and students from the State College of Culture. Denis Aruhaa has been leading the orchestra since the death of Otar Khuntsaria.

Fans of national melodies were highly impressed and showed their support by applauding loudly.

The State Orchestra of Folk Instruments, named after Otar Khuntsaria, was founded in 2016 with the aim of preserving and developing national traditions, customs, and folklore at the Abkhaz State Philharmonic, named after Rajden Gumba.
