1,300 soldiers from southern Russia confirmed dead in Ukraine

As reported by authorities and law enforcement agencies, the war in Ukraine has resulted in the death of at least 753 military personnel from the North Caucasus Federal District and 547 fighters from the Southern Federal District. The majority of casualties are located in Dagestan.

As of January 20, the deaths of 1,200 residents from southern Russia in Ukraine have been reported by representatives of various levels of authorities. This includes at least 687 residents from the North Caucasus Federal District and 463 from the Southern Federal District.

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the authorities of the regions and municipalities of the North Caucasus Federal District and the Southern Federal District, as well as representatives of law enforcement agencies, have reported at least 1,300 deaths in combat operations.

Among these casualties, the death of 753 residents of the North Caucasus Federal District has been confirmed. Dagestan saw the highest number of deaths, with 340 individuals. Additionally, 135 residents of North Ossetia, 109 from the Stavropol Territory, 77 from Chechnya, 57 from Kabardino-Balkaria, 28 from Ingushetia, and 7 from Karachay-Cherkessia were reported dead.

Since the start of the special operation, at least 547 residents of the regions of the Southern Federal District have been reported dead by authorities. This includes 220 soldiers from the Volgograd region, 124 from the Rostov region, 84 from the Krasnodar region, 81 from the Astrakhan region, 18 from Kalmykia, and 20 from Adygea.
