Messages of Sympathy: Abkhazia Responds to Crocus City Hall Terror Attack
SUKHUM / AQW'A ― In response to the tragic terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk, near Moscow, organisations and leaders from Abkhazia have stepped forward to offer profound condolences and solidarity. The attack on the evening of 22 March 2024, involving four gunmen and resulting in the loss of 137 lives with over 145 injured, stands as the deadliest terrorist incident in Russia since the Beslan school siege in 2004, and the most tragic in Moscow's history.
The Union of Political Parties and Public Organisations of Abkhazia, among other entities, has extended heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families, underscoring a shared grief and a collective condemnation of terrorism in all its forms.
"Our hearts and thoughts are now with all those affected, their loved ones, and family. We share the grief of those who have suffered from this terrible act of violence.
We condemn any acts of terrorism and call for peace, tolerance, and solidarity. All culprits involved in this dreadful event must face the most severe punishment.
The entire civilised world must denounce this barbaric crime against civilians," the Union's statement highlights.

The head of the State Security Service of Abkhazia, Dmitry Dbar, expressed condolences to the director of the Federal Protective Service of Russia, Dmitry Kochnev, regarding the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, which took place on March 22.
"On behalf of the State Security Service of the Republic of Abkhazia and myself personally, we express our deepest condolences to you, the families and friends of the innocent victims, as well as to the entire people of Russia in connection with this tragedy.
We strongly condemn the terrorist act committed against the civilian population, which resulted in dozens of victims. The committed atrocity is appalling in its cynicism and cruelty. We share the grief and pain of loss with you. We wish a speedy recovery to all those injured," the telegram notes.

"The youth of Abkhazia has taken with great sorrow the horrific event - the terrorist act that occurred in Moscow. Innocent people died, children died. We condemn violence and terrorism in all their forms.

The Commissioner for Children's Rights in Abkhazia, Maktina Dzhindolia, expressed condolences to the Commissioner for the President of the Russian Federation on Children's Rights, Maria Lvova-Belova, regarding the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall.
"Dear Maria Alekseevna, I am deeply shocked by the scale and consequences of the bloody terrorist act that occurred yesterday at the Crocus City Hall concert venue. I mourn with you, offering heartfelt condolences to the relatives and close ones of those affected by the attack.
I wish them resilience and patience to cope with the pain of loss. I also wish a speedy recovery to the wounded. I am confident that the competent structures of the Russian Federation will uncover this crime, and all the guilty will face deserved punishment.
In turn, I and the staff of the Commissioner's Office for Children's Rights in the Republic of Abkhazia express our readiness to provide necessary support to the children affected by the terrorist act. We hope that such monstrous crimes against life and public safety will not recur in the future."
