Abkhazia's FM responds to Georgia's comment on Abkhazia-Belarus meeting
SUKHUM / AQW'A ― Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, Inal Ardzinba, commented on the statement of the Georgian Foreign Ministry regarding the meeting of the President of the Republic of Abkhazia and the President of the Republic of Belarus in Minsk.
"The statements of the Georgian Foreign Ministry have already become familiar and have become routine.
Despite all the efforts of the Georgian leadership aimed at the international isolation of the Republic of Abkhazia, our country continues to confidently follow the path of expanding international relations.
The meeting that took place today between the Presidents of the Republic of Abkhazia and Belarus is a clear indication that we are on the right path.
The sooner Georgia acknowledges that Abkhazia is a sovereign and independent state, it will pave the way for overcoming existing differences and creating a conducive environment for establishing civilized interstate relations."
