Alexander Ankvab: We will cooperate with all those who wish prosperity to their historical homeland
Turkey is Abkhazia’s second biggest trade partner and home to the largest Abkhaz diaspora
Representatives of the Abkhazian diaspora in the Republic of Turkey – the head and members of the Committee of Solidarity with Abkhazia Ardashyn Bganba, Bediz Kvaratskhelia and Irfan Kvadzba shared with the President their impressions on their trip across Abkhazia and the meetings they had held.
The issues related to the activity of public organizations of our diaspora in Turkey were also discussed at the meeting with the President.
‘We will cooperate with all those who wish prosperity to their historical homeland’, Alexander Ankvab said.
Representatives of diaspora mentioned that much work had been done over the past 20 years by the Abkhazian Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Turkey Vladimir Avidzba. They expressed regret that he had decided to leave his work.
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Vyacheslav Chirikba and the Chairman of the State Committee on Repatriation Hrips Dzhopua.
