Yerevan Orthopedist Examines Over 90 Children in Abkhazia

SUKHUM / AQW'A ―  An orthopedic doctor from Yerevan, Hovsep Danielyan, examined over 90 children from Abkhazia in three days, as stated by Maktina Dzhinzholia, director of the Ashana Foundation.

The reception of Hovsep Danielyan was organized under the "Healthy Generation" project of the Ashana Foundation, supported by the Ministry of Health of Abkhazia.

As per Dzhinzholia, the doctor arrived in Abkhazia on Friday, March 10, and conducted check-ups for those interested in Gudauta. On March 11 and 12, Danielyan worked at the Sukhumi rehabilitation center.

The doctor will stay in Abkhazia until Friday. On Monday, he will take casts for orthoses, and on Tuesday, he will receive patients at the Republican Rehabilitation Center, said the head of Ashana.

Dzhinzholia also mentioned that when Danielyan prescribes orthoses to be produced in Yerevan, the foundation will cover all the financial costs. Additionally, if required, the Ashana Foundation is willing to pay for operations carried out by local specialists at the Republican Children's Hospital of Abkhazia.
