Abkhazia expects recognition of independence by Bolivia and Ecuador
Bolivia and Ecuador may soon recognize the independence of Abkhazia, Caracas said the head of the foreign ministry of Abkhazia Maxim Gvindzhiya.
"We are waiting for Bolivia and Ecuador to recognize the independence of Abkhazia soon because they have a positive attitude to our country there," Maxim Gvindzhiya told journalists.
The delegation headed by Maxim Gvindzhiya visited Venezuela, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Ecuador.
The head of the MFA also reported that they have conducted primary works during his visit to Latin America for the Abkhazian President Sergey Bagapsh.
Russia, Nicaragua, Venezuela and the tiny Pacific island nation of Nauru have also recognized independence of Abkhazia.
