The President of the Republic of Abkhazia, Sergey Bagapsh has passed away
Sergei Bagapsh was the second president of the Republic of Abkhazia
The President of the Republic of Abkhazia Sergey V. Bagapsh has died today in 83. Moscow clinical hospital of the Federal Medical and Biologic Agency of Russia.
On May 21 he underwent a surgery on his right lung which, according to doctors, passed successfully. However, for the last two days Sergey Bagapsh's state became much worse, he was put on a ventilator.
On May, 28th complications with his other organs were registered.
Despite the measures taken doctors failed to help the President out of a coma.
This morning, without regaining consciousness, Sergey V. Bagapsh has died.
