Six new cases of coronavirus recorded in Abkhazia
SUKHUM -- Over the course of the last day, 72 people have been tested for coronavirus-infection in the Republic of Abkhazia.
Six cases of coronavirus-infection were recorded in Abkhazia over the course of the last day, according to the Headquarters for the Protection of the Population from COVID-19.
Over the course of the last day, 72 people have been tested. The HQ also notes that, the day before, a negative PCR test for COVID-19 was obtained from a patient who died on 26 July at the Republican Hospital. The man was a dialysis-patient and was admitted to a medical facility with hypotension as an emergency.
At the moment, nine patients with confirmed coronavirus-infection are in the Gudauta hospital; seven people are at home in self-isolation.
The total number of coronavirus-cases detected in Abkhazia today is 63. Of these, 37 have recovered and two patients have died.
