Three patients with coronavirus have died in Abkhazia over the 24 hour-period

SUKHUM / AQW'A ―  The total number of detected cases of coronavirus in Abkhazia has increased to 5,732. 3,661 people have recovered, whilst there have been 77 deaths.

A diagnosis of COVID-19 was confirmed in 84 people out of 265 citizens tested over the past day in Abkhazia; three deaths were recorded, according to the Headquarters for Coronavirus.

Three patients with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 have died in the Gudauta Covid Hospital over the past 24 hours. A man born in 1970 died on the morning of 25 November, despite the assistance provided in the medical facility, according to the report. A 78-year-old patient also died on the same day. Additionally, on 26 November 26 a 65 year-old man died in the Covid Hospital.

At the moment, 72 people are hospitalised in the Gudauta Central District Hospital, 62 of whom have a COVID-19 diagnosis. There are 23 people in a serious condition, whilst the health-condition of 20 patients is of moderate severity.

There are 33 patients with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 in the Sukhum hospital for infectious diseases, two of them with serious health-conditions.

The mobile multi-disciplinary hospital in Sukhum is treating 36 patients with a confirmed diagnosis of a new coronavirus-infection. The state of health of 33 patients is of moderate severity, whilst three people are in a serious condition.

The Operational Headquarters for the Protection of the Population from Coronavirus-infection calls on the citizens of Abkhazia to take all necessary precautions to avoid infection.
