SUKHUM / AQW'A ― On September 4, 2008, Nicaragua officially recognised the independence of Abkhazia. A year later, diplomatic relations were established between the two nations. Now, the relationship between the two countries has taken a step forward as Inar Ladaria, the newly appointed Ambassador of Abkhazia to Nicaragua, presented his credentials to President Daniel Ortega.

During the presentation, the ambassador conveyed greetings and best wishes from the people and government of Abkhazia to the President and citizens of Nicaragua.

During a meeting with President Daniel Ortega, Ladaria presented the leader with a special gift depicting the culture and nature of Abkhazia. The gift included an apsara depicting Nestor Lakoba, chacha, adjika, and books about the country's heritage. This gesture showcases the ambassador's commitment to promoting Abkhazian culture and strengthening the relationship between the two nations.

Inar Ladaria, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Abkhazia to Nicaragua, has arrived in Managua to take up his post.

On December 17, 2021, Ladaria was officially appointed to the position and on February 1922 he presented copies of his credentials to Denis Moncada, the Nicaraguan Foreign Minister.
