Aleksandr Konstantinovich Shervashidze (Chachba) Abkhaz: Алеқсандр Константин-иҧа Чачба, (24 December 1867 - 12 August 1968 ); The first professional Abkhaz artist; painter, art historian and art critic. The prince, grandson of the ruler of the Abkhazian principality Keleshbei Chachba, the Prince of Abkhazia (1918-1968), brother of Vladimir Shervashidze.

Hayreddin Pasha [Kheireddine Ettounsi] (Tunisian Arabic: خير الدين باشا التونسي‎ Khayr ed-Din Pasha et-Tunsi; Turkish: Tunuslu Hayreddin Paşa; Born in Abkhazia, 1820; died in Istanbul, Turkey 30 January 1890. Ottoman Tunusian politician; first serving as Beylerbeyi of Ottoman Tunisia, he later achieved the high post of Grand Vizier of the Ottoman Empire. He was an Ottoman Tunisian political reformer during a period of growing European ascendancy.became a Grand vizier of Ottoman Tunisia then a Grand vizier of the Ottoman Empire.

Fazil Abdulovich Iskander [Abkhaz: Фазиль Абдул-иҧа Искандер] 6 March 1929 – 31 July 2016) was a Soviet writer and poet known in the former Soviet Union for his descriptions of Caucasian life. He authored various stories, most famously "Zashita Chika", which features a crafty and likable young boy named "Chik".

Dmitry Gulia (1874-1960)

Dmitry Gulia [Abkhaz: Дырмит Иасыф-иҧа Гәлиа] was an Abkhazian Soviet writer and poet, considered to be one of the founders of Abkhaz literature.

Dmitriy Gulia was born February 21, 1874 in the village of Uarcha, Gumista site, now Gulripsh district. Together with his family at an early age, as most Abkhazians, he was evicted in Turkey, but his father was able to return to the family home.
