Remains of 7 persons buried in Glory Park identified
During the 1992-93 War the Abkhazians lost 4% of their population
SUKHUM -- Alexander Ankvab received the Vice Prime Minister Indira Vardania who had returned from the 4th meeting within the Coordination mechanism on clarifying the fate of the missing persons in 1992-1993.
The meeting was held on December 3 in Yerevan under the auspices of ICRC.
Indira Vardania briefed the President on the results of the meeting. She reported that according to ICRC, remains of 7 persons buried in the Glory Park had been identified. ICRC experts will arrive in Abkhazia a week and will provide all the details.
Alexander Ankvab emphasized the need of continuing this work together with the International Red Cross.
