Remains of 14 soldiers of the battalion 'Gorets' are identified

Remains of 14 soldiers of the battalion "Gorets", who died in a helicopter downed on Mount Ahbyuk on July 1993 are now identified. The remains were identified as a result of work of the Commission on Missing Persons under the auspices of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Identification examinations were conducted at the laboratory in Zagreb.

Men who are identified: Zurab Gindiya, Valery Gobechia, Murtaz Gogia, Vitaly Ibragimov, Vladimir Kalendzhyan, Almas Kapba, Robert Kvatsba, Vitaliy Kubrava, Varlam Lakerbaya, Tamaz Mushba, Valentina Patsatsia-Amichba, Michael Tarba, Tamaz Khadjimba Hizan Cnakoriya.
