Drafts of documents on cooperation between Abkhazia and six Italian cities are ready

The President Alexander Ankvab received the Foreign Minister. Viacheslav Chirikba briefed the President on the results of another round of Geneva discussions.

Chirikba noted that there is no progress on the nonuse of force due to the reluctance of the Georgian side to accept the proposed by the chairmen text of the joint agreement.

As to the discussion of humanitarian issues, the Minister said that by the next round the participants will present the texts of the drafts of joint statement on the removal of barriers to international communication for residents of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

"If it is accepted, it will be an important step forward," - said the Minister.

Viacheslav Chirikba also spoke about his trip to Italy. He noted that drafts of documents on cooperation between Abkhazia and six Italian cities are ready.

"The Georgian Foreign Ministry tried to prevent these contacts, but their intervention had no effect", - said Viacheslav Chirikba.

The Minister also told about other meetings. He noted that business people interested in the new law on investment.
