There are no new cases: three more people have been tested for coronavirus in Abkhazia
SUKHUM -- Over the past day, three people underwent testing for coronavirus in Abkhazia. All test results were negative, according to the Operational Headquarters for the Protection of the Population from Coronavirus. Coronavirus tests are carried out only for those who have symptoms of the disease, or if the person was in contact with an infected person.
Only three cases of the coronavirus infection have been recorded in the country. One of the patients recovered and is already at home, the second, as previously reported, is awaiting discharge from the hospital.
The third patient, a woman who was born in 1925, died at the Gudauta Hospital on April 26. Her illness was preceded with complications. Death occurred as a result of a pulmonary embolism.

The elderly woman was diagnosed on April 11, then she refused to be hospitalised, receiving treatment for self-isolation. Later, the patient's condition worsened and she was transferred to a hospital.
The coronavirus infection was detected in the three residents of Gagra mentioned above, all lived in the same apartment block.
